Golden Bear Football Program Highlights

• The Golden Bears Football program seeks to teach its players the skills, rules, strategy and discipline of football and encourage good sportsmanship, self-confidence and teamwork in a Catholic faith based setting.
• We are proud of our tradition and success in the CYO & GCYL: 2000, 2002, 2004, 2009, 2010, 2012 & 2020 City Champs.
  
• Practices: Located at the Mother Teresa Catholic School.
  • Until school starts, the 3rd/4th grade typically practices 4 nights a week (Monday-Thursday) with the occasional Saturday mornings, and after school starts, 3 nights a week. Saturday practices are possible during the season but are rare and usually up to the discretion of the coach.
  • Until school starts, the 5th – 8th grades will practice 4 nights a week and Saturday mornings, and after school starts, practice 3 nights a week and Saturday mornings.
• All equipment is provided except for shoes for one low registration price.
• Home games are played at Bishop Fenwick High School and away games are played throughout the city.
• The season begins with practice in late July/early August. There are eight regular season games, generally split between Saturday and Sunday, and at least one post season game with the final game traditionally the first week of November.
• Fun for the whole family! Family picnic and tailgating after every home game and cheerleading squads for every team available.
