Golden Bears Cheerleading for Football 2023
The Golden Bears' Cheerleading Program for 2023 is going to be spirited! Teams are forming now
With the 2022 season being our largest squad yet, we're ready to welcome back our cheerleaders and invite new ones to our cheer family.
No experience is required, come cheer on your favorite Golden Bears Football Team!
The Golden Bears' Program is comprised of the following Parishes/Schools:
St. Michael | St. Gabriel | Mother Theresa | St. Maximilian | St. John | Bethany | John XXIII
Competing at the following levels:
Bandit: K-2nd grade | Pony:3rd/ 4th grade | Reserve:5th/ 6th grade | Varsity:7th/8th grade
Golden Bear Cheer Program Highlights:
- The GB Cheer program seeks to teach its cheerleaders self-confidence, the importance of teamwork, and skills to cheer in a Catholic faith-based setting.
- Practices: Located at the Mother Teresa Catholic School.
- Tuesday's from 6:00p - 8:00p depending on daylight starting August 15th and running through Tournaments (early November)
- Most practices will be focused on learning cheers, honing skills with body movements, and learning a halftime dance
- Home football games are played at Bishop Fenwick High School and away games are played throughout the city.
- There are eight regular-season games, generally split between Saturday and Sunday, and at least one post-season game with the final game traditionally the first week of November.
- Fun for the whole family! Family picnic and tailgating after every home game in coordination with the football team
Cost is $115 and includes cheer uniform including pom-poms (must be returned) and bows (cheerleader will keep). We ask that each cheerleader wear white gym shoes of her choice to each game.
